Nicole Kidman has made steps to turn London fringe show Cuddles into a film with her production company Blossom Films.

The vampire drama originally ran at the Ovalhouse in 2015 and transferred to New York's 59E59 Theatres the same year where it was awarded a New York Times Critic's Pick and named as one of the best theatre shows of 2015 by both the New York Times and the New York Post.

Arch468's Rebecca Atkinson-Lord directed Joseph Wilde's thriller which examines the strange and disturbing forms love can take. Wilde will also adapt the film version.

Kidman, who has optioned the film rights, told Variety: "Joe's voice is so beautifully subversive. He’s exactly the kind of young writer Blossom is looking to support."

Dates and casting for the film are yet to be announced.
