Full cast announced for The Nether at Royal Court

Jeremy Herrin’s production opens in the Theatre Downstairs next month

Full casting has been announced for Jennifer Haley's The Nether, a co-production with Headlong, which opens at the Royal Court on 24 July 2014 (previews from 17 July)

The full cast is: David Beames, Zoe Brough, Amanda Hale, Ivanno Jeremiah, Isabella Pappas and Stanley Townsend.

Amanda Hale returns to the Royal Court for the first time since she appeared in Wastwater; her Headlong credits include King Lear.

Stanley Townsend‘s Royal Court credits include Tribes, The Alice Trilogy, Shining City and The Weir; Ivanno Jeremiah last appeared at the Court in Truth and Reconciliation; and David Beames was recently seen in Happy Days at the Young Vic.

Directed by Headlong's Jeremy Herrin, The Nether "invites the audience to examine provocative and difficult questions in our increasingly technological age where even in a virtual world there can be real moral consequences."

The play was the winner of the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

The production, which runs in the Theatre Downstairs to 9 August, will be set designed by Es Devlin (Chimerica), with costumes by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Paul Pyant, music by Nick Powell, sound by Ian Dickinson and video by Luke Halls.
