National Tour For Emerging Dance-makers

A national tour of emerging dance-makers has been announced, providing a rare chance for fledgling artists to show-case new work across the country.

Called Dance3 to reflect the triple bill of work on show each night, the tour opens on 2 March in Liverpool and continues until 29 May in Ipswich, taking in Bath, Guildford, Nottingham, Leeds and Luton, among others.

The Dance3 choreographers are Claire Cunningham & Jose Agudo; Tom Dale; Laïla Diallo; Heather Eddington; Darren Ellis; Mickael Marso Riviere; Freddie Opoku-Addaie; Tanja Råman; Douglas Thorpe; and Ben Wright. The triple bill shown each night will change each night and be selected from the 11 choreographers.

Wayne McGregor, artistic director of Random Dance and Resident Choreographer of the Royal Ballet, says: “Dance3 is a rare and unparalleled opportunity for a new generation of choreographers to share and tour their work around the UK alongside their artistic peers.”
