Mousetrap Theatre has announced the plans for its 21st-anniversary gala, which will take place next month at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the West End.

The charity, which specialises in bringing disadvantaged children into the theatre by offering tickets and hosting special events across the country, was founded in 1997. It has since worked with 80 per cent of secondary schools in London, with nearly 200,000 students participating in the programme.

The gala event will have musical performances from cast members of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, and Dreamgirls. Mischief Theatre will also present material at the event at the Prince of Wales, while Janie Dee and Clive Rowe will perform songs at the after-show party at Café de Paris.

Special guest performers include David Suchet, Patricia Hodge, Michael Xavier, Samantha Spiro, Beau Dermott, Tyrone Huntley and Rachel Tucker, while the event will be hosted by Christopher Biggins and Harriet Thorpe.

Mousetrap Theatre Projects are the 18th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards' nominated charity and will deliver a presentation at the Awards ceremony this Sunday.

The Mousetrap Theatre Project's 21st-anniversary gala will take place at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Sunday 18 March.
