Kwame Kwei-Armah, Maxine Peake and more launch Manchester International Festival
The line-up for this year's Manchester International Festival was announced at a launch event last week and we went along to find out more.
Featured productions include Kwame Kwei-Armah and Idris Elba's collaboration, Tree, starring Alfred Enoch, Ivo van Hove's Re:creating Europe starring Juliet Stevenson and Maxine Peake and Sarah Frankcom's exploration of the life of a music legend in The Nico Project.
The festival takes place at various locations across the city throughout the month of July and also features work from internationally renowned artists including Skepta, Janelle Monáe and David Lynch.
