Fun Home opened at the Young Vic last night to rapturous reviews, including a five-star write up from WhatsOnStage.

The piece is Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron's Tony Award-winning musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel and stars Jenna Russell, Kaisa Hammarlund, Cherrelle Skeete, Eleanor Kane, Zubin Varla and Ashley Samuels.

The piece explores memories of Alison's family at three different stages of her life and is directed by Sam Gold. The musical won five Tony Awards in 2015 including for Best Musical and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
