Harold Brighouse's classic comedy Hobson's Choice is set to open in the West End for a limited season from June to September.

Directed by Chichester Festival Theatre artistic director Jonathan Church, the production at the Vaudeville Theatre will mark the 100th anniversary of the first UK production.

Judge John Deed actor Martin Shaw will reprise the role of Henry Horatio Hobson. Shaw's extensive theatre credits include Twelve Angry Men (Garrick Theatre) and An Ideal Husband for which he was nominated for a Tony Award and won a Drama Desk Award.

Shaw will be joined by Naomi Frederick (The Heresy of Love, The Globe) as Maggie Hobson, Bryan Dick (Seminar, Hampstead Theatre) as Willy Mossop, Gabrielle Dempsey (The Rehearsal, Chichester Festival Theatre) as Vickey Hobson and Joanna McCallum (The Importance of Being Earnest, Salisbury Playhouse) as Mrs Hepworth.

Further casting is yet to be announced.

The unlikely love story combines comedy with romance as it follows the lives and loves of boot-maker Henry Horatio Hobson and his three daughters.

Hobson's Choice runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from 8 June to 10 September.
