Hampstead Downstairs announces Spring season

Hampstead Theatre has announced new plays for its Downstairs venue.
Running from 16 April to 16 May 2015, Deluge by Fiona Doyle is billed as a "deeply provocative thriller set in a blighted landscape".
It's directed by Anna Ledwich, who returns to Hampstead following Four Minutes Twelve Seconds, which is currently nominated for an Olivier Award.
Deluge is follwed by Sunspots by David Lewis, directed by Charlotte Gwinner.
Running from 21 May to 20 June, Sunspots is billed as an "offbeat romantic comedy" offering an "unusual twist on the traditional boy-meets-girl story".
Lewis's plays Bad Faith, Misconceptions, Hurting, Monkey’s Uncle, Greenwash, How To Be Happy and Seven Year Twitch all premiered at the Orange Tree Theatre.
Hampstead Downstairs, which allows new plays to be premiered "free from commercial pressure or formal critical evaluation", has hosted 31 new plays since artistic director Edward Hall and executive producer Greg Ripley-Duggan took over at Hampstead in 2010.
Several of these, including Di and Viv and Rose and Hello/Goodbye have transferred to the main stage and West End.
