Half a Sixpence to perform at 17th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards

Charlie Stemp and the cast of Half a Sixpence will appear at the 17th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards.

The cast will perform "Flash, Bang, Wallop" at the concert, a song which WhatsOnStage described as a "showstopper" in a five-star review.

The musical has eight nominations at this year's awards, including Stemp for Best Actor in a Musical, Devon-Elise Johnson for Best Actress in a Musical and Best New Musical.

Half a Sixpence transferred to the Noel Coward Theatre last November, 53 years after if first hit the stage, with a new book by Julian Fellowes and a new score by Stiles and Drewe.

The hosts for this year's ceremony have also been announced. Comedian and actor Vikki Stone will be joined by Simon Lipkin, best known for his performances in Avenue Q, Rock of Ages, and more recently, Guys and Dolls.

The 17th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards take place at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 19 February.
