The hit West End and Broadway musical Elf will embark on an arena tour this year.

Based on the iconic film of the same name, the musical first ran in 2010 on Broadway, directed by Casey Nicholaw. It had its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre in 2015, starring Ben Forster as Buddy the Elf.

Appearing in the 2019 stadium tour will be Kym Marsh, Tam Ryan and Shaun Williamson, with the production running in Liverpool on 7 and 8 December, Glasgow on 14 and 15 December and London on 21, 22 and 23 December.

The production will feature a 70-foot wide stage, with some scenes taking place around and above the audience. The piece previously had a tour in 2018, starring David Essex and Martine McCutcheon.

Elf has a book written by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers and Hairspray) and an original score by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.
