First glimpse of Jane Horrocks in East is East

Production images have been released for Sam Yates’ Trafalgar Transformed revival of Ayub Khan Din’s autobiographical comedy

Embarking on its first major revival since its acclaimed 1996 premiere, East is East opens on Wednesday (15 October 2014, previews from 4 October) at Trafalgar Studios. The show is a part of Jamie Lloyd's second season of 'Trafalgar Transformed'.

East is East will be directed by young director Sam Yates, the first production in the Trafalgar Transformed season not to be helmed by Lloyd. Leading the cast is the multi award-winning actress Jane Horrocks (Young Vic’s Annie Get Your Gun) as Ella, as well as the playwright,Ayub Khan Din as her husband George 'Genghis' Khan.

Following its run, East is East will embark on a short UK tour from 14 to 31 January 2015.
