David Haig will star in the upcoming revival of Joe Penhall's play Blue/Orange.

The actor joins the previously announced Daniel Kaluuya (Black Mirror, Sucker Punch) and Luke Norris (Poldark, A View from the Bridge) in the piece, which opens at the Young Vic in May. Haig recently starred in Chichester Festival Theatre's hit production of Guys and Dolls which opened at the Savoy Theatre last year.

The play, which is a study on mental health provision and race, tells of Christopher, due to be discharged from a psychiatric ward but who seems to be convinced that the colour orange is blue. The play first opened at the National in 2000 and starred Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Manchester Royal Exchange's associate director Matthew Xia directs the piece which runs to 2 July.

The Young Vic has also announced that Adelayo Adedayo (Klippies, Rachel) and Tsion Habte - both making their Young Vic debuts - will star in Charlene James' play Cuttin' It which opens 27 May. The play, which is directed by Gbolahan Obisesan focuses on the practice of female genital mutilation in the UK.

Blue/Orange runs at the Young Vic from 19 May to 2 July. Cuttin' It runs 27 May to 11 June.
