Cynthia Erivo to play London farewell concert

It has been announced that West End star Cynthia Erivo is to play a final farewell concert at the Hippodrome Casino before she leaves for Broadway to reprise her role in The Color Purple.

The star will be joined by a handful of special guests on the 21 September in an evening that "promises to be a goodbye party not to miss".

Erivo makes her Broadway debut reprising the role of Celie in November. Watch the latest footage of Cynthia Eviro and Jennifer Hudson performing the title song of their upcoming production here.

Erivo's many stage credits include Sister Act: The Musical, LIFT, Songs For A New World, I Can’t Sing and Henry IV.
