Rachelle Ann Go (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) will play Eliza Schuyler, Giles Terera (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) will play Aaron Burr, Rachel John (The Bodyguard, Memphis) will play Angelica Schuyler, Obioma Ugoala (Motown, The Physicists) will play George Washington, Christine Allado (In the Heights, Sweet Charity) will play Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Jason Pennycooke (Memphis, Kiss Me Kate) will play Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Cleve September (In the Heights, Annie Get Your Gun) will play John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and Tarinn Callender will play Mulligan/Madison.

Further casting, including the titular role, is yet to be announced. Tickets go on general sale Monday.

Miranda's multi award-winning musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of America, with a score that blends hip-hop, R&B and traditional musical theatre.

Last year the show broke records with 16 Tony nominations, winning 11, including Best Musical, as well as the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Hamilton will open at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 7 December, with previews from 21 November.
