Black Panther star Letitia Wright to lead Young Vic's The Convert

Letitia Wright is to play the role of Jekesai/Ester in the Young Vic production of The Convert.
Wright's previous credits include the hit film Black Panther, Black Mirror, Humans and Cucumber. She will be joined in Ola Ince's production by Paapa Essiedu as Chilford, Ivanno Jeremiah as Chancellor.
Further casting includes Jude Akuwudike (Uncle); Rudolphe Mdlongwa (Tamba); Pam Nomvete (Mai Tamba). Casting for the role of Prudence is yet to be announced.
Danai Gurira's play is set in 1896 in what is today's Zimbabwe, where Jekesai is fleeing from a forced marriage and finds herself working for a devout Catholic priest.
