Bertie Carvel has joined the line-up for Jason Robert Brown's concert at the Royal Festival Hall next week (26 May).

Carvel originated the role of Miss Trunchbull in Matilda and is currently starring in new BBC series Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell .

He joins a line-up that includes fellow West End regulars Willemijn Verkaik, Cynthia Erivo, Eleanor Worthington Cox, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Oliver Tompsett and Matt Henry.

Featuring performances of some of the composer's best loved work, the concert will include songs from The Bridges of Madison County, The Last Five Years, 13 and Parade.

Jason Robert Brown said: "It is long past time for me to come back to London. I have so much new music to share, and I have missed the love and support that I always get from my fans in the UK.

"I cannot wait to get on the stage of this amazing hall with some truly extraordinary singers and players – I have a feeling it will be well worth the wait."
