Beautiful the Carole King Musical to go on UK tour

The show continues at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is to tour the UK, producers have announced.

The national tour will open at the Bradford Alhambra on 9 September 2017.

The show tells the true story of singer and musician Carole King and her rise to stardom as one of the most successful solo acts in pop music history.

King wrote songs such as "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman", "Take Good Care of My Baby" and "We Gotta Get Out of This Place". The musical opened in the West End in 2015 and currently runs at the Aldwych Theatre. The musical has a book by Douglas McGrath with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

Cassidy Janson currently plays the role of Carole King in the West End.

The UK tour will visit Plymouth Theatre Royal, Norwich Theatre Royal, Southampton Mayflower, Southend Cliffs Pavilion, Birmingham Hippodrome and more. Further dates and venues are to be announced.
