Full casting has been announced for Ella Hickson and Ben and Max Ringham's new play Anna, which premieres at the National Theatre in June.

Joining the previously announced Phoebe Fox as Anna will be Paul Bazely (Quiz) as Hans, as well as Michael Gould, Diana Quick, Lara Rossi, Nathalie Armin, Max Bennett, Jamie Bradley, Georgia Landers and Dwane Walcott.

You can see the show in rehearsals here:

The piece has a story by Hickson and composition and sound design by the Ringhams, with audience members using individual audio headsets to experience the tale of the married couple, Anna and Hans.

Hickson comments: "The technology used within Anna gives every audience member the opportunity to be psychologically inside a moment in history that is hard for us to imagine today – a hugely optimistic time when the project of communism had yet to fail."

Anna is directed by Natalie Abrahami and has set and costume design by Vicki Mortimer, lighting design by Jon Clark and movement direction by Anna Morrissey. It runs from 11 May to 15 June in the Dorfman Theatre.
