An American in Paris extends booking until April 2018

Christopher Wheeldon’s production is currently playing at the Dominion Theatre

The West End production of An American in Paris has extended its run until April 2018.

Christopher Wheeldon's adaptation of the Oscar-winning film, about an American soldier and young French dancer in Paris, opened in March to rave reviews.

The production, which premiered on Broadway in 2015, stars Ashley Day, Leanne Cope and Zoë Rainey. It features the music and lyrics of George and Ira Gershwin including the songs "'S Wonderful", "I'll Build a Stairway To Paradise" and "They Can't Take That Away from Me".

In her five-star review for WhatsOnStage, Sarah Crompton said the production was 'unlike any other musical on the London stage: sumptuously beautiful and heartfelt.'

An American in Paris is now booking at the Dominion Theatre until Saturday 28 April 2018.
