The cast and creative team of Florian Zeller's The Son celebrated the show's opening night last night at Kiln Theatre in London.

Directed by Michael Longhurst, Zeller's piece (translated by Christopher Hampton) makes its UK premiere at the venue, and follows a family in disrepair and the impact this has on the son Nicolas.

Guests including Jonjo O'Neill, Alexis Zegerman, Elliot Levey and the venue's artistic director Indhu Rubasingham celebrated with the cast after the performance.

The Son has design by Lizzie Clachan, lighting by Lee Curran, composition and sound design by Isobel Waller-Bridge and casting by Amy Ball.

Running from 20 February to 6 April, the piece is the next Zeller play to have its UK premiere, following The Height of the Storm, which ran on tour and in the West End last autumn.
