#HatersBackOff: Enter to win a West End starring role with YouTube’s Miranda Sings!

Ready to make your West End debut? Enter our exclusive video competition to win a chance to star alongside YouTube sensation Miranda Sings in Miranda Sings Live at Leicester Square. Alternatively, send a picture to go into our free tickets prize draw.

When international YouTube phenomenon Miranda Sings returns to London next month, for a week-long season at Leicester Square Theatre (Monday 9-Saturday 14 September), she’ll be joined on stage by one lucky WhatsOnStage wannabe. Oh yes, after the fun we had back in 2010, we just couldn’t resist!

We’ve teamed up the marvellous Miranda to pay tribute to the West End and to challenge UK fans and theatregoers to “out-Miranda Miranda” in show tunes-style for a chance to make your West End debut, performing right alongside her. ENTER OUR VIDEO COMPETITION BY 5 SEPTEMBER

All aspiring stage and YouTube stars have until Thursday 5 September to send video clips of yourselves mimicking Miranda’s performance mode to mirandacomp@whatsonstage.com, along with your name and full contact details and all your social media handles.

The winner of this exclusive competition – as judged by the lady herself – will be invited to join Miranda on stage at the 7.30pm performance on Friday 13 September for a special duet in front of the live theatre audience. They will also receive a pair of free tickets to the show. It’ll be a very lucky Friday the 13th for someone!

To provide inspiration, and to demonstrate her own musical theatre singing abilities, Miranda has recorded a special promotional video for the WhatsOnStage competition (see above).

All entrants’ videos will be published here on WhatsOnStage.com and in a dedicated playlist on our YouTube channel, WhatsOnStageTV, with an extra special fuss made of the winner’s video. In addition, the winner’s onstage performance with Miranda at Leicester Square will also be filmed with highlights published online on Monday 16 September.

Commenting on the WhatsOnStage competition, Miranda said: “Obviously, no one can be as good as me cuz I am famous and really talented, but I’m happy to give vocal training to the WhatsOnStage winner while I’m in London. They can learn a lot from me cuz I’m also an amazing teacher.”

About Miranda Sings

With eyebrows that move entirely independently of each other, a crooked smile and a face bearing the remnants of a fight with the lipstick, Miranda has caused a sensation on YouTube by posting videos of herself performing her favourite songs comically off-key and complete with stiff dance moves and woeful styling. “Haters back off!” is her catchphrase putdown to anyone who doesn’t appreciate her quirky appeal.

Miranda Sings is the creation of comedian and singer Colleen Ballinger. Since launching in 2009, Miranda Sings has become an internet sensation, with her YouTube videos receiving over 50 million views to date, and live stage shows mounted in theatres in New York, London, Los Angeles and around the world.

Competition closes 5 September 2013

By submitting videos and photos, you agree that these may be published online by WhatsOnStage and Miranda Sings. Neither travel to London nor accommodation is provided as part of the above competition prizes. All entrants will also be subscribed to our weekly Newsletter email list for updates on the competition. Good luck!
