Louise Dearman, Tony Yazbeck, Alexandra Silber and Ben Davis will all make their BBC Proms debut as they lead the cast of Kiss Me Kate, conducted by John Wilson, next month.

The Prom, which plays at the Royal Albert Hall on 2 August 2014, sees the original 1948 arrangements of Cole Porter's classic musical. John Wilson and his orchestra are returning to the Proms following a successful My Fair Lady in 2012.

Louise Dearman, who will play Lois Lane/Bianca, made West End history by becoming the first actress to have played both Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked. Her other credits include The Water Babies, Jekyll and Hyde and Grease.

American actors Tony Yazbeck (Bill Calhoun/Lucentio) and Ben Davis (Fred Graham/Petruchio) have credits between them including Chicago, Gypsy, A Chorus Line, Violet, Anna Nicole the Opera and A Little Night Music.

Alexandra Silber, who plays Lilli Vanessi/Katherine, has appeared in solo cabarets London Still and Ex Libris, and her other credits include The Woman in White, Carousel and West Side Story.

Standing tickets are available to buy on the day of the Prom, with possible returns for seated tickets.
