The Royal Shakespeare Company's double bill of Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies is extending by four weeks to 4 October 2014 at the Aldwych Theatre.

Tickets for the extension of Mike Poulton's adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Booker Prize-winning novels go onsale today, with best availability later in the run.

Jeremy Herrin directs the productions, which chart the rise to power of Cromwell in the Tudor Court.

They feature in the cast Ben Miles as Thomas Cromwell, Nathaniel Parker as Henry VIII, Lydia Leonard as Anne Boleyn, Lucy Briers as Katherine of Aragon and Paul Jesson as Cardinal Wolsey.

The shows originally played in Stratford-upon-Avon earlier this year, and are produced by Playful Productions and the Royal Shakespeare Company, with design by Christopher Oram, lighting by Paule Constable and David Plater, sound by Nick Powell with music by Stephen Warbeck.
