Further casting announced for Sister Act

The Leicester Curve’s new production of ”Sister Act” opens at the end of July and then tours the UK

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Sister Act, which stars the previously announced Alexandra Burke in the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier.

Joining Burke will be Joanna Francis as Michelle, Jon Robyns as Eddie, Karen Mann as Mother Superior and Rosemary Ashe as Sister Mary Lazarus.

Joining them will be Aaron Lee Lambert as Curtis, Sarah Goggin as Sister Mary Robert, Susannah Van Den Berg as Sister Mary Patrick, Allison Harding as Sister Mary Theresa, Ricky Rojas as Pablo, Samuel Morgan-Grahame as Joey and Sandy Grigelis as TJ. The company also includes Nicola Bryan, Jennifer Douglas, Aiesha Pease, Sally Peerless and Justin Wilman.

Jamie Wilson's production will be directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, and opens at Leicester Curve on 30 July.

The piece is based on the film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith and tells of a disco singer who has to hide out and pretend to be a nun. The show features original music by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner.

Sister Act runs at Leicester Curve from 30 July to 13 August.
