What attracted you to Noises Off?

I saw the play while I was at school and loved it. It was a really funny, clever play and I always thought it would be great to be involved in such a high energy, challenging piece.

It looks exhausting but fun to perform in? How do you keep your energy levels up in between shows?

Although I havent even started rehearsals yet, with other high energy shows I have done like Chicago and Teechers, I make sure I eat well, exercise when possible & maybe have a sneaky sleep between shows on matinee days!

How is life after Coronation Street?

Life is great, I have experienced so many things since leaving, I feel very fortunate.

You got some great reviews in Chicago. Would you like to do more musicals?

Thats really nice of you to say. I loved doing Chicago, it was a dream of mine to play Velma Kelly. I began my career in musical theatre and love shows so it would be lovely do another musical, but it would have to be the right role.

Why do you think Noises Off is considered a comedy classic?

Everyone can relate to the characters in the play. Intertwining a bunch of people, all with different personal issues, is always going to evoke some sort of drama and comedy. Being able to show that in a physical aspect as well just adds another dimension. Its a very clever piece.

What are you looking forward to the most about being in this production?

I'm looking forward to a lot of laughs with the cast and all being well, making the audience laugh too. It's a challenging play to learn, but I think it's the kind of piece that we will all be proud to be a part of. I'm also looking forward to working with Bob Eaton the director. We worked together over 10 years ago and it was a great experience.

Are there any roles/plays you would still love to do?

Lots! Too many to list. I'd love to do more comedy though, as it's challenging and a fun process to be involved in.

What's the biggest buzz for you performing in a piece like Noises Off?

Knowing that I have learned it all! Ha ha! Being able to enjoy a piece and not worry about lines and props etc is great. Then you can really relax and start bringing new elements to the character. It's always nice to be in a good play as well, then you don't mind inviting people to come and see it.

Noises Off is at the Liverpool Royal Court from 5 September 4 October
