Formed through the Bristol Old Vic, this hugely talented theatre company use live music, mime, dance and, of course, Ikea furniture to retell the cautionary tale of what happens when 6000 customers have the same avaricious desire for some MDF goods.
The motivational quirks of the co-workers and customers of Ikea are portrayed with a cutting accuracy that draws genuine belly laughs from the audience. We're invited to gleefully mock the near brainwashed reverence that the manager has for the Ikea ideology, whilst identifying with the illogical desire to reach out for a cheap candle or a swirly mirror - even though you’ve already got the sofa you came for.
With such a peerless performance there may be a bit of a ruckus to get your hands on a ticket, but do go if you can.
