Five Reasons to See … The Segue Sisters in … Jailbirds

With their debut show The Segue Sisters find themselves in prison, three-part harmonies included.

Telling stories of survival, escape and barred windows the three comediennes bring music, mirth and

mobility vehicles to the stage, plus occasional alliterations. Here’s why they think you should come see

their show.

1. You love music.
Charlotte, Kerrie and Carrie cover songs spanning seven decades in an hour, from The Andrews Sisters

to the rock and pop sounds of The Doors, Lady Gaga and Metallica, all in close-part harmony! This will

please your mum, dad, sibling, girlfriend, boyfriend, boss, pimp and dog. What more do you want? If

you don’t like at least one of their songs, you will get a free CD of all of their songs as compensation.*

2. You can’t decide between watching comedy, music or cabaret.
The Segue Sisters provide all of this and more in one show. They are in prison for stealing other

people’s songs. Watch how they work their way through this terrible ordeal through the medium of

other people’s songs. They are multi-talented, multi-tasking and downright silly. And in prison.**

3. You don’t want to learn anything.
The Segue Sisters solemnly promise that you will not learn a single thing from watching their show. It’s

impossible, because they don’t know anything. ANYTHING. They are purely for Entertainment Purposes

Only.***

4. Charlotte’s Mum has bought all the leopard print clothes and accessories in Wales for Charlotte to

wear, just for this show.
That’s right, folks! Leopard print is back in fashion.****

5. You might get to ride a Segway!

That’s right! The Segue Sisters are sponsored by the wonderful Segway company this year and will be

riding around Edinburgh on our two-wheeled friends all month. If you have seen the show and bump

into The Segue Sisters on the street, they might give you a quick lesson. Not necessarily in Segway

riding. Kerrie is dead good at maths.***** (Pot luck which lesson you get).

* This is a lie.
** This is a lie. They’re not really in prison (yet). It’s just a show.
*** This is a lie. You will more than likely learn something. Probably about rubber ducks.
****This is not a lie. Carrie wishes it was.
*****This is a lie. Kerrie is living proof that glasses do not make you clever.

The Segue Sisters in … Jailbirds are on at the Gilded Balloon Nightclub from 5-28 August (excl 17) at 22.15.
