Charity’s Christmas festival heading for Covent Garden

Make a note for your diary if you’re
going to be in London’s Covent Garden area around 6.30pm on Thursday
27 November. That’s when The Royal Theatrical Fund (founded in 1839 by
Charles Dickens) to support actors and other theatre professionals
who have fallen upon hard times holds its 2012 annual Christmas
festival.

The venue is the Actors’ Church – St
Paul’s, Covent Garden – and there will be readings, music and a
chance to indulge in mulled wine and mince pies. Simon Callow,
Laurie Holloway, Kenny Lynch, Peter Polycarpou and Samantha
Spiro
are among those intending to appear (as always where
hard-working performers are concerned, attendance is subject to
availability).

Music will be provided by the West End
Gospel Choir. Tickets priced at £15.00 are available from The Royal
Theatrical Fund (020 7836 3322), or you can email the Fund
(admin@trtf).
