Playhouse pantomime lineup revealed
This will be Jennifer’s first time in pantomime, unlike Keith who has performed twice at the Kings Theatre Glasgow pantomime as well as in Aberdeen over the last few years.
Jennifer, who is filming in Hollyoaks up until the start of panto rehearsals, said: “I can’t wait to get to Whitley Bay this Christmas, it’s a lovely town. I’ve never performed there before but I have been there and the people are lovely.”
Keith, who came second in ‘Any Dream Will Do’, finally got his chance to don his coat of many colours and is currently on tour as Joseph in the Bill Kenwright touring production.
The pair will join North East comic Steve Walls who is returning to the PLAYHOUSE for his 3rd consecutive year alongside David Burton as Baron Hardup, Danny Jay and David Drewitt as the Ugly Sisters and two real Shetland ponies. Also taking to the stage to complete the lineup is Suzanne Richardson from South Shields as the Fairy Godmother and James Darch as Dandini.
Gary Telfer, Managing Director of Blue Genie Entertainment said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the popular pantomime, Cinderella to Whitley Bay this Christmas. It promises to be the biggest and most magical pantomime ever staged at the venue.”
Cinderella runs from Tuesday 18th December 2012 – Sunday 6th January 2013. Tickets range from £7-£16 and can be purchased in person from the PLAYHOUSE Box Office or by calling 0844 277 2771 or online at playhousewhitleybay.co.uk.
