Jason Donovan will star as Captain Von Trapp alongside Verity Rushworth as Maria when the smash hit production of the legendary Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound Of Music returns to the Manchester Palace Theatre this autumn.
Producers Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian and The Really Useful Group are delighted to announce that Jason will take the role of Captain Von Trapp in the Manchester run.
Verity is continuing in the role after winning great reviews, (as Connie fisher has pulled out dur to vocal problems) and the show returns to the Palace Theatre from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 17 September.
