Five Reasons To See … The Rocky Horror Show in Manchester

Sam Attwater swapped Walford in Eastenders for the ice when he danced on it for ITV1. He now features as Brad in the Rocky Horror Show – the 40th Anniversary Tour – opposite Roxanne Pallett‘s Janet and Oliver Thornton in the title role. The show arrives in Manchester soon and we asked Sam for five reasons why you should don some fishnets and go along.

1. Do the Timewarp Again
.
The Rocky Horror Show is an absolute feel good night out – from the moment you walk through the doors of the theatre the fun begins. It’s a show that everyone can enjoy. Having been to watch the show before I started rehearsals I can honestly say that it was one of the best nights out I’ve had had in a long time.

2. The dressing up.
If you decide to dress up, then your night out starts from your own home. Whether you’re male or female you have the opportunity to wear whatever you want. Nothing to worry about as it’s all in good taste and all good fun.

3. The audience participation.

Something that I have never been a fan of when watching shows in the past, but for some reason in Rocky Horror it makes it a better experience for the audience and the cast. Members of the audience get as many laughs from this as they do from people on the stage. It can be so funny. They also have the chance to sing and dance along which everyone does each night.

4.  A wonderful cast.
The Rocky Horror Show‘s 40th Anniversary Tour has such an incredibly talented cast that will wow you. You will walk out unbelievably impressed by the jaw-droppingly good performances.

5. The opportunity to be a part of such a cult musical
Especially as it’s the 40th year anniversary. Which for me says it all. That a musical can be so successful over four decades is amazing. Be apart of it and book your tickets now.

The Rocky Horror Show is at the Manchester Opera House from 25 – 30 March.
