Cast: Hollyoaks‘ Lomas in A Chorus Line

Former Hollyoaks bad-boy Jamie Lomas and So You Think You Can Dance contestant Drew Mconie have been cast in the musical, A Chorus Line which arrives at the Lowry in April.

Featuring a cast of thirty and featuring the famous show-stopping routines, this brand new version of the award-winning musical hit tells the story of seventeen Broadway dancers all auditioning for spots in a chorus line.

Set on the stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical, the audience is given a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and their choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers. Featuring songs such as “What I Did For Love”, “I Can Do That”, “Dance: Ten; Looks: Three” and the sensational finale “One.”

Salford-born Lomas starred as Warren Fox in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks for three years. Before joining the Chester Soap he appeared on Sky One’s Dream Team, Heartbeat, Casualty and Blue Murder.

Dancer and up-and-coming choreographer Mconie is best known as one of the final 14 dancers in ITV’s So You Think You Can Dance. He has also performed in Shall We Dance by Adam Cooper, Matthew Bourne’s Dorian Gray, Nutcracker!, The Car Man, Edward Scissorhands, Chicago and The Snowman.

A Chorus Line runs at the Lowry from 29 April – 8 May.
