First look at rehearsal pics from Meera Syal's Anita and Me

Roxanna Silbert’s production based on Syal’s novel opens at the Birmingham Rep next month

Rehearsal images have been released from Roxana Silbert's upcoming production of Anita and Me.

Based on Meera Syal's novel, the show premieres in Birmingham in October before transferring to Stratford East later in the month.

Mandeep Dhillon as Meena and Jalleh Alizadeh as Anita will lead the cast in Tanika Gupta's adaptation.

Anita and Me runs at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 13 to 24 October, after which it will transfer to Theatre Royal Stratford East from 29 October to 21 November.
