Tobacco Factory Theatre's announce their Autumn/Winter season.

Highlights include Filter's Macbeth, Opera Projects Madam Butterfly and their Christmas show of 1001 Dalmations.

Tobacco Factory Theatres have announced their Autumn/Winter season for 2014. The season will open with a co-production with Filter Theatre; a new playful, kaleidoscopic and radical version of Macbeth with innovative sound and music from 03rd –20th September. In the Brewery Theatre, winner of Tobacco Factory Theatres's Emerging Director Prize, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Graduate, Nancy Medina will direct the UK première of the fiery, political story of Cuba - Strawberry and Chocolate.

Tobacco Factory Theatres are co-producing for the first time with Opera Project this year, in their production of Puccini's Madame Butterfly from Wed 08 – Sat 25 October. The theatre will continue with their ongoing collaboration with Travelling Light with a brand new production of 101 Dalmatians (Wed 26 November – Sun 11 January), directed by Sally Cookson (Cinderella: A Fairytale at Tobacco Factory Theatres and Jane Eyre at Bristol Old Vic) and a creative team including designer Katie Sykes, Musical Director Benji Bower, choreographer Dan Canham and Puppeteer Marc Parrett . Also at Christmas in the Brewery Theatre, Pickled Image are creating a new puppetry show Santa's Little Trolls (Wed 10 December – Sun 04 January) for the youngest of audiences and their families and Kate McNab returns once more to delight adults with Mrs Gerrish's Grotto (Tue 16 December – Sun 04 January).

Looking further forward Tobacco Factory Theatres have announced that beginning with the 2015 season, Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory and Tobacco Factory Theatres will co-produce the annual spring season of Shakespeare and classic drama. A new Romeo and Juliet (Thu 19 February – Sat 04 April 2015) will be directed by guest director Polina Kalinina and Sheridan's The School for Scandal (Thu 09 April – Sat 09 May 2015) will be directed by Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory's artistic director Andrew Hilton.

A number of touring productions will also be hitting the theatre in the season including, Told By An Idiot's My Perfect Mind, Simon Callow bringing his solo show The Man Jesus for one performance only and Simon Reade's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's An Elephant In The Garden.
