Rafe Spall and Ruth Wilson: 'We'd love to do the Hedda Gabler tour, but we haven't been asked'

The pair have been nominated for Olivier Awards for their roles in the play

Rafe Spall and Ruth Wilson have said they would love to reprise their roles in Hedda Gabler when it tours the UK, but the producers haven't asked them yet.

The pair were speaking at a celebration event for this year's Olivier nominees. Wilson has been nominated for Best Actress, with Spall up for Best Supporting Actor.

Speaking at the event, Wilson said she was"quite tempted to go on tour", to which Spall replied: "I'll hold you to that".

In her five-star review for WhatsOnStage, Sarah Crompton said Wilson's performance was "superb" and "subtle", hailing Ivo van Hove's production "a Hedda unlike any I have ever seen.

Spall also described van Hove as "one of the most exciting directors in the world".

It was recently announced that the production would tour the UK, but casting is yet to be announced.

Hedda Gabler will open in Plymouth on 2 October before touring to Edinburgh, Leicester, Salford, Norwich, Hull, Aberdeen, Northampton, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Newcastle and Milton Keynes.
