WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Britain's premier Chamber Ensemble.
For the final event of this year's Winchester Festival, the Theatre Royal will be hosting chamber music royalty in the form of the Nash Ensemble, a group that is as flexible in line-up as it is masterly in performance. Starting with three players in Haydn's carefree Trio that concludes with the 'Gypsy Rondo', they progress to four in Brahms' ebullient G minor Piano Quartet, before expanding to five for Schubert's beautifully melodic 'Trout Quintet'. A dream programme of music for a Summer Sunday, this is bound to be a popular concert.
