The last 5 minutes of the play lift it from a rather tedious affair to something a bit more dramatic. The central character, Protasov, is just too wet to act as the hub of the action around which everything revolves. Get a Travelex ticket to see this rather than pay top price.

disappointing, first part boring although the second part became finally developed a storyline. The big bang at the end does little to make up the lack of momentum over the 2 hours

Utterly sensational. Another huge, explosive, hit for the NT, quite literally when an humongous explosion set off all the fire alarms!
