First look at Iris Theatre's Pinocchio puppets

”Pinocchio” follows ”Twelfth Night” at St Paul’s Church from 29 July

Images have been released offering a sneak peek at the puppets created for Iris Theatre's promenade version of Pinocchio at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden.

Following their production of Alice Through the Looking Glass last year, Iris Theatre returns for a 7th year in the gardens of St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden with a new family friendly version of the classic story Pinocchio.

According to press material:

On his fantastical journey Pinocchio will meet a speaking cat, a dancing fox, a sneaky snake and a child who turns into a donkey; but as he's swallowed up whole by a ship-guzzling dogfish Pinocchio loses hope in ever becoming a real little boy.

The puppets have been specially created by puppet maker Alicia Britt for the production newly commissioned version by Dan Winder and Candida Calidcott.

Pinocchio runs at St Paul's Church from 29 July – 29 August. Click here for more information and to book tickets.
