1st Night Photos: McNally & Varma Dance at Trafalgar

Conor McPherson‘s new version of August Strindberg‘s The Dance of Death opened last night (17 December 2012) at the Trafalgar Studios, as part of the Donmar Trafalgar season.

On an isolated island, military captain Edgar and his wife, Alice, live a bitter life, their marriage soured by hatred. When the possibility of redemption and escape arrives for Alice in the shape of their former comrade Kurt, it seems that Edgar is prepared to use his very last breath to make their lives a living hell.

The cast, which comprises Kevin R McNally, Indira Varma and Daniel Lapaine, partied after the opening night at the Corinthia Hotel along with director Titas Halder and producer Miriam Green.

Others joining them at the party included Donmar artistic director Josie Rourke and executive producer Kate Pakenham, as well as actress Fay Ripley.
