  • 2010 WOS Awards launch – over 500 stars of stage and screen descended upon London’s Café de Paris last week as we launched the 10th annual Whatsonstage.com Theatregoer’s Choice Awards. With stunning performances from Patina Miller, Jest End and the Christmas Rat Pack, guests were treated to an afternoon of 10th birthday celebrations as the nominations in this year’s awards were announced by the wonderful cast of west end hit, A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Take a look at our exclusive video to see what some of the nominees had to say.

  • Donovan, Nuns and Night Music hit top spot – after notching up an impressive seven nominations along with newcomer Sister Act and popular revival A Little Night Music, some of the larger than life cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert were on hand at Café de Paris in full costume to remind guests why the hit show, currently playing at the Palace theatre, has garnered such a massive fan base, including two other nominees, Miriam Margolyes and Carol Macready, both up for Best Supporting Actress in a Play. Here’s what they thought on a recent visit to see Priscilla.

Meanwhile over at the Palladium, those naughty nuns have been searching for the next generation of talented devotees to take up the habit – some are impressive, some…just shocking!

After a triumphant run at the Menier Chocolate Factory and a subsequent West End transfer, Trevor Nunn’s revival of the Sondeheim classic A Little Night Music is now Broadway bound. Boasting a stellar cast including Catherine Zeta Jones and a return to the musical stage for Angela Lansbury, the show’s nominations here in the UK just go to show the success of such a wonderful production.

  • Royal flush for Jerusalem and Enron – after another fantastic year for the Royal Court, securing ten nominations in this year’s awards – five for Jerusalem, Enron receives four and a further nod for Michael Wynne’s new comedy, The Priory – it’ll be a strong force to knock them off their winning streak. With both Jerusalem and Enron heading into the West End, only time will tell if the Royal Court can continue their success at this year’s Evening Standard Awards when the WOS Awards are announced in a star studded concert for theatergoers on 14th February 2010 at the West End’s Prince of Wales Theatre.
  • Selections by David Grewcock. You can view
