WOS Radio: Busy British Songwriters Stiles & Drewe

By • West End

In an extended Whatsonstage.com Radio podcast live from the West End’s Prince Edward Theatre, multi award-winning theatre songwriting duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe talk to Roger Foss about their three shows playing this Christmas season - a revised version of Peter Pan - A Musical Adventure at Birmingham Rep, a new version of their Olivier Award winner Honk! at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury, and Jonathan Harvey’s new Barbican pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, for which they've written original songs.

The team are not sitting back on their laurels. Although Mary Poppins - for which they composed new songs to complete the Sherman Brothers’ original film score - will have its final performance at the Prince Edward on 12 January 2008, the musical embarks on a UK tour and continues to run on Broadway. Stiles and Drewe also reveal plans to premiere their brand new musical adventure, Soho Cinders, in 2008.

Thanks for listening!
