Riding Parades with New Leading Man???

By • West End
The September concerts with Jason Robert Brown at London’s New Players Theatre were a sell-out, although some theatregoers were disappointed to miss Joanna Riding amongst the roster of West End divas who joined the American composer and lyricist on stage (See News, 17 Aug 2004). Due to her performance schedule for Noel Coward comedy Blithe Spirit, then in Bath and now at the West End’s Savoy Theatre, Riding was only able to make one of the late-night concerts. However, there will be another chance to hear Riding sing “You Don’t Know This Man” and “All the Wasted Time” from Brown’s Broadway musical Parade at her own late night concert, which, in February, will launch the Prince of Wales’ Delfont Room as a performance venue (See News, 23 Dec 2004). For the second song, a duet, Riding will be joined by a special guest who, although not yet confirmed, is likely to be a West End leading man and fellow 2004/5 Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Award nominee from Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Woman in White (click here to vote now).
