With the frequency of farewells followed by swift comebacks in showbusiness, it’s a pronouncement that should probably be taken with a pinch of salt. That said, if you’re a big fan of single mother-of-two Lily Savage, you should not take any chances with booking your tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the West End’s Victoria Palace. In today’s 20 Questions interview, Lily creator Paul O'Grady announces that the West End pantomime will mark the end of his acid-tongued drag alter-ego. “This is the last time I’m doing Lily,” he says. “I had a great time with her for the last 20 years, but I’m putting her to rest after this.” Snow White, in which Savage plays the panto dame role of the Wicked Queen, continues until 23 January 2005.
