The action is set in a bohemian household in 1930s Paris. When Michael (Byam Shaw) declares his love for a girl, his devoted mother burns with jealousy while his father is shocked to discover that his son’s lover is someone he is familiar with.

The intention of the Donmar/Trafalgar partnership is to showcase the work of graduates from the Donmar’s Resident Assistant Director Scheme (RAD) and will take the form of a 12-week residency every year for the next three years.

Les Parents Terribles continues in Trafalgar Studios 2 until 18 December.
