1st Night Photos: Harman’s Hot Property at Trafalgar

Following his West End stint in Three Days of Rain earlier this year, Nigel Harman returned to a (albeit much smaller) London stage last night in the premiere of Sam Peter Jackson’s comedy Public Property at the 100-seat Trafalgar Studios 2 (See News, 13 Oct 2009).

The play, which has a limited season to 5 December, centres on popular newsman Geoffrey Hammond who, when he is caught by paparazzi in a rather compromising position, leaves it up to his publicist Larry – who knows all his client’s dirtiest secrets – to spin him out of what seems to be an impossible situation. As the media wait, hungry for the statement on the sex scandal of the century, the two struggle with conscience and imagination and the question looms – is all publicity good publicity?

Joining Harman in the cast are Robert Daws (another familiar TV face from The Royal, Jeeves and Wooster and Outside Edge as Geoffrey and Steven Webb (The History Boys and S**t Mix on stage).
