  • Theatregoers’ Choice Awards 2008 Nominations Party - With voting now open to decide the nominations for the 2009 awards (click here to nominate now), here’s a reminder of the buzz at last year’s launch party, featuring interviews with Rupert Goold, Matthew Marsh, Elaine Paige, Michael Ball, Leanne Jones, Samuel West and Ralf Little among others. This year\'s event takes place at the Hippodrome on 5 December, featuring a line-up of stars including Graham Norton, Lesley Garrett, La Clique, Mel Giedroyc, Michael Ball and the Jersey Boys (See News, 30 Oct 2008)

  • Hairspray Extended Trailer - One of the big winners at last year’s awards was Hairspray, currently booking through to October 2009 at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Producers recently released an extended trailer of the show, featuring interviews with the principal cast and plentiful song clips, so everyone can get their Baltimore fix.

  • Forced Entertainment - Spectacular - Avant garde Sheffield-based theatre company Forced Entertainment are currently in town with their latest show, Spectacular, featuring a man in a dodgy skeleton costume and a host of death scenes. If you’re curious, it’s at the Riverside studios until 15 November.

  • Cast of Carousel Perform Live - For those who missed it, here’s the cast of the new revival of Carousel, featuring Lesley Garrett, performing live at the recent Eurovision Dance Contest. The production is currently touring the UK, hitting the West End’s Savoy theatre next month (2 December 2008, previews from 22 November).
