Another Broadway import possibility for the Apollo Victoria – pre-Wicked - is the Billy Joel-inspired Movin’ Out. Running since September 2002, it closes in New York in mid-December and could have a limited London season at the start of planned European tour. Though the show features many of Joel’s pop hits, including the title song, it isn’t your standard compilation musical but rather a narrative ballet, with choreography by the legendary Twyla Tharp. If it does turn up on this side of the Atlantic, it’s likely to feature Tharp’s finely drilled New York dancers, most of whom have been with the show from the beginning.
