Stephen Fry - enjoying a break before Twelfth Night transfers to the West End - and Zoe Wanamaker were among the guests at Hampstead Theatre last night (24 October 2012, previews from 18 October) for the premiere of Howard Brenton's historical drama 55 Days.

Starring Mark Gatiss as doomed King Charles I and Douglas Henshall as Oliver Cromwell, the cast is completed by Abigail Cruttenden, Daniel Flynn, Matthew Flynn, Richard Henders, Simon Kunz, Gerald Kyd, John Mackay, Jordan Mifsud, Gerard Monaco, Laura Rogers, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Jem Wall and James Wallace.
