The Country Girl was made into an Oscar-winning film starring Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly in 1954. The play was revived on Broadway in 2008 with Morgan Freeman and Frances McDormand.
Prior to London, The Country Girl played a regional tour with dates in Windsor, Leeds, Richmond, Shrewsbury, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Malvern, Birmingham, Bath and Brighton, where it played until 2 October. It replaces Howard Davies' acclaimed revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons at the Apollo.
