1st Night Photos: Pythons Get Naughty at Forty
Eric Idle’s Life of Brian musical adaptation Not the Messiah (He’s a Very Naughty Boy) – billed as “like Handel only funnier” – was remounted at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday (23 October) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Monty Python broadcast.
Replete with lumberjacks, dead parrots and a sing-along “Bright Side of Life”, the evening, accompanied by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, provided fans with a plethora of Python nostalgia.
